I’m in the process of getting new tyres for my mags on the HK, they are 14x7 Cheviot tridents(the best mags for a holden)

I’m looking at getting 205/60/14 and 215/60/14 f&r but there’s not much variety
Seems like bfg are the only 215s I can find! I was hoping to get a matching set

Any tips?

Those are pretty small (as in diameter) tyres for a HK. Original D70’s are between 205/70/14 and 215/65/14. Although the base tyres on other HK were little but mostly on 5” rims.

205/70/14 are easy to buy and there are a few 215/65/14 around, even Bob Jane make that size. As you say BFG might be the only 215/60/14.

I just bought 205/65/15 and 215/65/15 BFG redline radials for my HK, will be delivered today. These are on 15x6 and 15x7 rims. I couldn't find anything close to right in 14" and the brakes are too big for 14" rims anyway.

I want the 60s because after I do the tyres I’m going to drop it down 2”

You might have to fit a 3.36 rear axle at the same time as it’ll be pretty low geared if it has its 3.55 still.

3.36 from memory. 2.78 and 3.08 were V8 diffs in HK era, made by Borg Warner and just about all LSD. The Holden made banjos were 3.36, 3.55 and 3.9 and only on 6cyl.
