Hi iv purchased a yella terra head from a mate but trying to instal valve seals I have tryed always to seat them but they just lift up with the valve there is no groove for them to sit in inside the guide my question is do they just move up and down with the valve and stop at the guide or are they seated as I can't see how they can fit between the valve and guid and stay there without being pulled out with valve movement e.g. up and down they are the small black ring type I have never done these before or even seen them installed before any information would be much appreciated

I have just noticed there are to grooves at the top of the valve the retainer sits in one is the one just under the retainer for the seal or is this for the retainer as well as the seal fits in there snug with the retainer seated above

Yes your on to it. The square section oring is basically there to stop the retainer assembly becoming a funnel.👍
