Hope someone can help.My son recently bought a holden 202 red motor from the Eastern States. It has had new pistons etc etc but basically the same set as it was before the freshen up but now you cant set the rockers up correctly without the valves hitting the pistons.
After pulling the timing cover off we found the motor to have a Roll master ( GD6000 )cam gear drive. The engine builder said he dialed the cam in.but we believe this is the cause of the piston to valve clearance issues.
Does anyone have any instructions on these gear drives to nominate what the dots are on the crank gear in relation to advance and retard.
Any info would be appreciated.

buy a cam degree wheel ($25). a cog normally represents +/- 2 deg.
Old holdens brought on the spot, quick decision, cash paid.
