Hello guys,i'm trying to help a mate with his Brougham that he is trying to sell.He would like to know its details so he's not accused of fibbery. The firewall is stamped HT 10171 S,with another S stamped directly underneath the 1st one.The engine number is 308H29782.The big tag reads:
Model 81469TR
Body No 258-H5
Trim 1194-18M
Paint 567-11905
The little tag reads:814691(or I)H5 88678.He has the last NSW rego sticker on the car and I doubt the rego no was original (UTK 664).The old girl is totally original, complete and unbastardised, some rust(nowhere near terminal)and a pealy black vinyl roof. The engine is unopened, and, runs effortlessly. Also,is this cars P/glide the same as HK307?Your help is most appreciated,Mick G.

Sounds like a pretty original HT Brougham. The Powerglide is different to a 307 box. The 253 and 308 Powerglides were a 6cyl box with a V8 pump and torque converter and a "made in Australia" bellhousing to suit the GMH V8. It uses the same extension housing as the 307 box though. It is a Pagewood build and assembly. 1194 is Verdoro Green metallic. 18M is Sandelwood trim, from memory the embroided trim.

Update, the 308 is not original to the car. It is a late HG engine.
