i have found a hk wagon from NZ with only 1 tag & no firewall number.

is similar to AUS but bit different so tryin to break it down

803358N705690

it is an early 68 as has early grey seat trim but oval, not round st/wheel so my guess is mid 1968

'80335'-obviously kingswood wagon

'8' - 1968

N7 - NZ plant

05690 - 5960th hk body

can anyone confirm this???

does anyone else have any info on NZ compliance or tag/s

regards DD

Davo, it won't be the 5690th HK body, that is the plant sequence number just like in the Australian plants. It is the total number of vehicle issued with a PSN at that assembly plant since the VIN system started in late 1967 so will include whatever else they assembled there too.

YES THAT SOUNDS CORRECT , ALL SORTS OF STUFF WAS BEING ASSEMBLED THEN . I AM TRYING TO WORK OUT WHY THESE 2 GMNZ COMMODORE'S THAT SHOULD BE CLOSE IN BUILD DATES ( I BELEIVE THEY WERE BUILT IN A BATCH OF 30 ? ) 6S69LCZ738084H & 6S69LDZ74111H HAVE SUCH DIFFERENT NUMBERS , MAYBE THE 1ST OF SEPT CHANGEOVER FINISHES @ 38---- & STARTS AT 40000 ???? IF SO MIGHT APPLY TO ALL EARLY BUILDS AS WELL ? MARK.
