Hi guys, can someone help confirm the build date for my HT GTS.
2 tags (ID and VIN) that still looks to be original paint under them.No ADR tag .
ID tag- 80837TR, Body No 924-H5,
Vin - 80837TH6296**
Fire wall- HT42737S

1969. ADR compliance plates came into effect on the 01/01/70 i think. |

As ht307munro has said, no compliance plate makes it pre-1/1/70, i.e. a 1969 build.
If it's the 42,737th HT (as per the chassis no.) out of Sydney, that would make it very late 1969, probably December.
Check the stamped date on the steering box, casting dates on the block, heads or inlet manifold. These will give you a guide.

Hmmm. steer box is 17C0 (17/03/70).
Im not a hundred percent on how the number system works for sydney but have found another monaro 808 with close numbers from sydney delivered 17/4/70 Body 909-H5 HT42269SS
I just want to get it right for chasing up the right running gear for it if i can. A missing ADR tag would be a bummer though if 70 rig :)Cheers guys.
