Please help,

I am looking at buying a 2010 VE SS UTE at an auction but when I had a look today and went through the gears, it was hard to find 5th and 6th gear. (reverse is on the right next to 5th).

It is missing that "spring tension" that lets you know you are about to pull into reverse.

Local Holden dealer was hopeless saying that I had to bring the vehicle to them for a diagnosis. Can anyone tell me the part that is most likely at fault so I can call the dealership and get a quote to replace it?

Need to know how much I'm up for before I bid on it.

Any help would be much appreciated. cheers

Did you start it up as the reverse gear has a solenoid to stop it going in reverse going forward.
