Hi bruce.

941 = Snowcrest White roof over Manifest Orange paintwork
C68 = Govt. spec interior trim (is it a brown colour ?)

The S2 in the body number indicates a Govt. order pack, most likely Dept. of Civil Aviation.

C68 is a ute trim. What colour is it?
If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/

I have a listing for a trim colour named 'Cordon Brown' which was used on many Govt. spec commercial vehicles (incl. Army & Navy etc.) during the 50s & 60s.

It is mostly likely that brown which C68 represents.

Sorry to dredge up the past Dr Terry...but what’s your source document for the Interior trim paint schemes. Is it online somewhere? I can’t seem to find a list of the 3 digit paint scheme numbers anywhere.

You will only find the combination number 941 by finding a car in that scheme and recording it. There are plenty of 9## combination numbers that are yet to be solved.

As Warren has said, we just record numbers off body plates over many years to build up our own database.

On the body plate it lists the paint shade numbers and the trim combination number. In this case as well as 941 it will have the number 568-0071 (Manifest Orange) stamped on the 'PAINT' line & 568-0246 (Snowcrest White) on the 'TOP' line.

I doubt you will find any lists of combination numbers (complete or otherwise) on the internet.
