Hi I have owned the car for about a year and havent really had any probs after the first 6months when sitting at the lights it gives a little slutter like its going to stall but it doesnt it can happen on an empty tank or a full tank. I have had no other problems with it till the other night i was driving home and turned into my street and the car spluttered and died. once completely stopped i restarted it and drove the rest of the way home, was a little scary as i could of been doing 110km down the freeway. Has anyone had the same thing happen

I have this same problem with my VN. when I back off when slowing down turning into another street, it will die. I have found that if you let the car idle (no moving) then stab the accelerator and let it flick back it will die.

Cos my VN is a heap

Sounds like your IAC valve is lazy and/or clogged up, or it could be that you have a speed sensor fault that is allowing the car to run fuel cut on deceleration for too long.
If you had a speed sensor prob though, you wouldn't have an accurate speedo in

Had a similar problem with a VP Calais the other day. It turned out to be dodgy relays on the efi circuit and also fuel pump relay. These are mounted under the bonnet on the left handside. Hope this helps. This also fixed her fuel gauge and brake light wa
