G'day all. My HX LE has corrosion in both the inner high beam reflectors.I am uncertain as to what the they were originaly fitted with in this regard. The lamps on mine are lucas made with a seperate halogen bulb fitted which can be removed as required. There is some suggestion sealed halogen lamps may have been fitted originally as the date on my lamps is 6/77. Could someone advise and is it possible to get as original as possible and who would make them. The lenses are the curved variety and not flat. Thankyou

If its running halogens you will be able to buy them at most auto shops , HZ prem and statesman came standard with them so there is another source.
The original type would have been sealed beam being a HX but Halogens were probably on the options list.

Yes I have a pair of halogens that I think were original. But how can you tell on a 24
year old car?

My LH came standard with sealed beam, but Dad replaced them with halogens when the car was only about six months old. I recently had trouble with the lense reflectors fading, and bought new ones... Got them from supacheap, but I was offered two kinds:
