Just got a somewhat straightfoward but confusing question.
I am converting the top end of me 308 vk motor to an injected vn setup which is easy enough, but what got me stumped is, what fuel tank do i use. i can use a VN tank which i have been told that you have to modify the tank straps becuause they dont bolt up at the same length. or the other option is to use a vk 6cyl injected or vl tank. which tank do i use? and how will my sender unit fit in any of them since the car has an electronic dash. fuel pumps? i was also told that vl has a small in tank pre pump an that i have to put a bigger fuel pump on the outside of the tank to feed fuel?any help is appreciated as i dont know who else to ask
Cheers

We have just done this on a mates car. We used an 80 litre fuel tank and straps from a VN and a fuel sender from a VP which has the internal pump. You will need to cut the filler neck off about 2" from the tank and use the original VK filler pipe. VL

Thanks it helps a bit. did you have to modify the straps to fit the vk? did you fit another fuel pump or stick with the VP in tank one? do vk 308 headers bolt up to vn heads?
Cheers

The straps went staight in and we used a standard VP in tank pump. You will need new headers to suit the VN heads.
