My EH has the original suspension and the rubber bushes are worn and need replacing.

Its not a job I can do myself as I dont have the equipment or knowledge.

Does anyone know how long it would take to do and whats involved ? Is a wheel alignment/balance necessary ?

I am getting a couple of quotes but would be nice to be able to have some advance knowledge of whats involved and then I can estimate rough cost and compare to quotes.

King pins need replacing as bushes are worn. I was going to repalce bushes but maybe better option is to replace king pins with reconditioned ones from rare spares

This is what rb30EJvan was getting at. With the exception of the stabiliser bar mounts & links, there are no rubber bushes in an EH front suspension. The kingpin bushes are a precise reamed bronze type bush & all of the pivots are steel on steel.

With kingpins it is much better to obtain a pair of complete upright assemblies ready to fit, from Rares. A proper kingpin fitting job is beyond the scope of most mechanics, let alone a DIY guy. And yes, a wheel alignment is essential after fitment.
