Jeez Tony. I was about to enter you into my Book of Hero's......

But then I saw the PT Cruiser. ;) Great variety in your list though. I like seeing people that can appreciate all makes.

Me
HZ Sandman as first car (still own)
XE 351

Then a bunch of cheapies that i'd buy, fix, drive till the next one was fixed and then sell before rego expired. Mostly ED Falcons and Subaru Brumby's/wagons.

Occasional keeper that I'd drive while it had rego then store at the farm. HJ Statesman, FJ60 Sahara, HD Holden.

Edit- Forgot the bikes.
Honda CBR's
Honda SP1
KTM 640/690 Motards

Currently using a 600cc 2 cylinder Subaru Sherpa and a Toyota Dyna 3 tonne truck for picking up cars.

I won't bother listing the myriad of commodores....(from VC thru to VE).

But in other "brands" I've had the following fleet cars:
MY08 Subaru Liberty (great car, but needs a turbo or bigger engine).
BA XR6 - good cruiser for long trips, but heavy on juice. Held up well in a huge prang (not my fault).
'05 V6 Camry (not my choice - company policy - corolla or camry. It was boring as all hell but did everything well).
AU Futura (now that was a piece of rubbish).

With the exception of the Subaru (short-sighted corporate policy at the time meant I could only choose a Honda accord or Subaru Liberty) I've only ever chosen or bought Australian assembled cars.

Cheers,

Mick

Well as far as daily drivers:
1952 Austin A30 purchased when I was a teenager in 1981. It did become a daily driver in 1987 for a brief period and I still have it.

1968 VE Valiant wagon 225 slant 6 went through 3 of them in one year so I updated it to a 265 Hemi.

1972 Valiant Ranger

1974 Charger 770

1975 Chrysler By Chrysler 360V8 (a 4 wheeled lounge room with lots of power)

1972 LJ Torana 4 door 173 auto

1976 LX hatch 202 5 speed

1980 VC Commodore 1900 4 speed. Converted to a warm 179 & 5 speed very soon after purchase as I bought the engine then went looking for a car to put it in.

1989 TN Magna wagon 2600 carby auto with A/C and P/S very slow and very thirsty

1989 TP Magna sedan 2600EFI 5 speed. Was a great car.

1993 EB sedan 5 speed. Another great car.

1995 EF wagon auto. (a lemon)

1983 XE S pack wagon 4.1 EFI. A good car but VERY thirsty.

1992 EB 5 speed wagon. Such a good car that I kept it for 12 years & when the drivers seat wore out I replaced the whole interior with one out of a Fairlane Ghia.

2003 BA Fairmont Ghia. Currently shaping up to be the last Ford I ever have it's such a POS. Hopefully I'll sort out it's very annoying problems then the other little issues that don't worry me and it will be a good car but at the moment I despise it which is a pity because to look at and sit in it's a beautiful car. Then I have to drive it.

My first car was a mk 11 Zypher..I threw a 3.6 litre donk and an all syncro box into it... Currently I own an LH torana. Recently I bought a VK Calais 5 litre manual...I wanted the motor and box for my torana... Now I find out that Calais is a rare animal...How much is it worth..dunno but now I cant bring myself to cannablise it for the torrie...Maybe I could swap it for a hatch back...Guess I will have to keep on dreaming

I'd guess the more solid Falcon but then again the engine is a long way from the front of a V6 Commodore which should give it a fighting chance.

Jim your right!

The first year, I used the VN and lasted litrally 8 seconds. You can look up 8 second wonson on youtube.

The Ford lasted 35 minutes and I finished 3rd out of 28 cars and still would be going if the battery terminal didn't sheer off due to the battery box landing from the front floor to the rear of the car!

This is unfair/embarassing, all you other guys on here seem to have owned some real cool (old skool) cars! And here I am sat with a pathetic collection of (very very) small cars!

I am young though, and I would much like to own a 1967 VW Camper (Split screen) with a kitchen in the back...or a bed, perhaps I could do both? Anyway I don´t have $30,000 spare at the moment...so here goes...

2007 - Renault Clio (1.0L)
2008 - Ford Fiesta (1.18L)
2011 - Ford Fiesta (1.2L)
2011 - BMW Three series, diesel (2.0L)(this was through the company)!

No way could I afford the insurance on a car like that. Hell they are killing me on a 1.2 litre fiesta!

Guess that´s the price you pay for being young nowadays!
