Tried a couple of years back to locate two new or two original clips as shown in the attached photo. These hold the fuel pipe and the brake pipe the the right hand inner sill area on HK.
Does anyone know if a copy of these clips is now available or anyone have two original ones with the locating tangs still attached?
Thanks, Gerard

These clips were not a product that was viable to remake due to low sales potential and the high tooling cost. Alternative clips were tried from USA clip companies but were rejected due to the different size pipes they held. I just went through a US specialty clip catalogue 0f 852 pages without finding anything similar.
You could try specialist wreckers such as HOLDENT in Victoria or others.

Thanks for this reply. Will contact the places mentioned and see if they have any of these clips. After unsuccessfully trying to remove the clips from my car I think if a wreck still had two of these clips in place and in good nick, one way to remove them without breaking the tangs would be to open the sil panel up from the outside and close the tangs before pushing them through from that direction? Any suggestions about other ways to do this without breaking the tang off the clip?

I found these in the US but not quite right.

Thanks for this information. These clips look good, do you have details of where to get a couple of them? I am currently using a couple of self tapping screws with a large flat head on them. These clips would finish it off well.

So it's not even possible to acquire those on craigslist or forum market?

KBM. I also bought some of the same clips hoping they might be suitable, but from memory the HQ clip ends are sized to suit larger diameter pipes. Thanks for the reply.

Try the SP2282 from Motor Trade Suppliers. By a lucky quirk of defective heat treating they are soft enough to be able to be modified to suit HKTG fuel line size.

SP2282 might be available from some of the Rare Spares outlets so it best to check with them first. Both Bayswater and Roxburgh Park (Vic) would be able to get them quicker. These are from a USA manufacturer and they only supply to RSP/Rare Spares in large quantities. They are then sold here in smaller lots.
