Just reading the reply to the question two below from Tazz2 I was wondering if someone could help me with advice on a similar line.
My HQ foot dipper switch broke a while back so I fitted a new reproduction item from a well known old Holden parts supplier.

Not long after this on high beam only the lights start to flicker from time to time. Most of the time they are fine and then out of the blue..... have to drop back to low beam to get home
Does this sound like a dud switch or should I check something else?
Thanks for any tips

It certainly sounds like a classic case of the high beam needing a relay (or 2) fitted.
If you already have relays in the high beam circuit, then I'd be checking the connections before looking at the actual dipper switch.
They don't make things as tough

Same applies to the aftermarket UC/HX/HZ/WB/VB/VC/VB/VH/VK column stalk - they break if you sneeze on them too hard, and they dislike much headlight current.
