Have just put a supra 5 speed into hq prem. Problem is, it had a colmn auto. So i still have to have the colmn shifter in either the neutral or park position before the neautral safety switch will let the car start, even though the shifter has been removed. Does anyone know how to get around this? Also how do i get the original reverse lights to work. It seems as though they operated of the colmn position and not the selector in the auto.

Hi Guys.

The single orange wire on the Tri-Matic is for the kickdown solenoid, not the reverse switch.

The reverse switch is part of the same switch, already described at the base of the steering column.

Bridge the 2 purple wire for the
