Damn , I always thought LTD stood for luxury touring disaster ?. I had a ltd and it used to scrape mirrors going around corners it had that much body roll. :)

there is a radio on ebay seller says it is from an xb gt or gs i had 1 and mine was an 8 track stereo was mine an option

Basic push button radio was standard I believe mate, then the cassette player was the next option up. 8 track would have been an option for sure cos they were not standard on anything I dont think. |

Well here is a classic example. a fellow listed his V8 Fairmont Ghia a few times with a reserve. The bidding reached about $2,600 but didnt reach reserve on more than one occasion which is fair enough. He then lists the car for $1 with no reserve. A foolhardy move you would think BUT bidders IDs are kept private (presumably so he can shill bid). Ive actually seen wiper switches go on ebay for over $300 in that condition. Yes they were NOS in the box
but once you pull it out of the box and put it in the dash who is going to know anyhow?

Yeah but Paul, we all know what ArmourAll can do to make a gauge look a lot newer than it actually is.
NOS gauges may be worth **** loads, but if they are in a dash, then its a pretty sure bet that they are 30+ years old. Complete dashs are not the place to be flogging NOS gauges. |

I was actually looking at the stenciling more than anything. Personally Id rather one of Shanes reconditioned switches. I put a NOS headlight switch in the car at the same time as one of Shanes wiper switches. The NOS headlight switch has gone funny already but the wiper switch still looks A1. I think its because even a NOS switch is still 30 plus years old and plastic doesnt age well. Even stuff that has been in a box all that time. Once it sees daylight it starts to deteriorate pretty quick.
