I thought I was doing a good thing running my HZ 253 on Boost 98, after a good write up in a St--t M-----e issue, six months later my car is starting to run like pooh. Flat spots, surging and stalling, not what I want in an auto...got to the point where I'd take off at a set of lights and she'd cut out and dye.
I stripped the ww stommie and found a 3mm+ layer of purple silt in the bowl and everywhere else. I totally stripped and blew out with the compressor and put a new fuel miser kit in and some main stream fuel and she hasn't missed a beat since.

Leason learnt!!!!!

Cheers

The kit only cost me $30 at my local Auto One...I was surprised at how easy the WW was to work on, the only pain was setting the float level. You have to hold the carb above your head and grow an extra arm to muck around with it...I must have got it righ
