Why does the battery (Currently a Bosch 12mths old) in a 95 EF Fairmont Ghia 6cyl go flat within a fortnight if the car sits and yet a 90 VN 5.0l Berlina with a cheaper battery (12mths old) can sit up to 2months and still crank over no problems. Please do not answer because one is a crap Ford. DFH

The ford obviously has far more current drain in the electrics at rest than the commodore.
Things like the security system, ECU, BCM and even the radio memory all sap power.

Yes there may be a drain on the battery, possible radio connected to live terminal on fuse box, To check take of you negative battery lead and place in series a test light, if the light glows, then there is a draw on the electrical system. To prove what i
