Did Ford produce a GT Ute? If so, how can you tell? Is the engine number meant to be stamped on the comp plate? how can i tell if the motor is the original? The engine number is above the fuel pump, but there is no match on the comp plate. Nothing that even resembles an engine id.

As rcm81 says, no GT utes were made. If the owner is trying to tell you it is a genuine GT just walk away and don't look back. I'm not really into the old XYs but on the XB the Engine number is the same as the compliance number and chassis number. Chas
