can anyone recommend a product or method to clean and keep soft 1970's vinyl interior. there are so many products on the market and they all claim to be the best. i dont want to waste any more time or money.

I do my vinyl in a 2 stage method. One to clean it and another to make it soft and subtle. there is a product called ARCO. It looks like hand cleaner. Use it on the vinyl with a soft nail brush and then wipe off with a dry clean soft cloth. It pulls

I use Auto GLym Interior Cleaner. It removed about 98% of some Mastick off the cloth face of the seats in my ute. The Mastick had been there for at least 3 years when I bought the seats..... It brings the rest of the interior up a treat too.

Yep...and the UV in sunlight hastens the process...Just use the baby oil sparingly as it can be/is sticky.

I've been using armorall on the same dash fo 20 years and the dash still looks a treat. I guess it depends on how much time you let your car sit in sun etc.

As we all know, the inside temperature of your car, can be at least 10 to 15 degrees hotter than the outside temperature.

Armourall can and will cause your dashpad to crack under these extreme conditions.

Mr Sheen. Doesn't give the excess shiny look that Armorall does and seems to preserve the dash better. used it on my 19080 lancer from new and no cracks in dash yet.

a product called 303 is the best. A bit hard to find now but it is a killer.
