Hi All!
I have a HR diff housing, (short bolt centre) and want to replace the std centre with my 3.08 LSD centre (Long Bolt centre) and was wondering what is the best way to change it over, I have been told I can weld a nut on the inside of the housing and use the long bolt from the outside of the diff centre, but was wondering if I could remove the original short bolt and replace it with a long bolt, are the threads the same, can it be done?? all these and more questions???
any help would of course be greatly appreciated
Matt

generally the short bolt is a course thread..the correct long bolt is fine thread...easiest and neatest way is to weld the nut to inside of the housing..ive seen plenty of bodgy ways to do it...

Thanks Classic, not interested in Bodgy! this has been a fairly big ongoing project, and want to do it right the first time rather than bodgy it up thus the (probably stupid to some) questions
