I've had the car for a year now and when i bought it i didn't aks the guy how to turn them on as i presumed that he swith was on the floor or somewhere visible within the car. i haven't asked an expert yet but did ask uncles and grandfather who all owned XB's in theri lifetime. no answers.

The lights are wired up weithi the original wireing looms so they are no after market fakes and through looking through the lenses i can see that the globe wires are still attatche (not blown).

At frst it was no big deal but now it is driving me crazy. HOW DO I TURN THEM ON???????

Sam if they are factory spotties there will be a switch ( like the headlight switch ) under the dash on the right hand side. If wired correctly the spotties will only operate when high beam is on and the spotty toggle is switch to on. Spotties should no

Thanks for the feedback Paul but there are no aditional switches that i can see under the dash on the right hand side (that would pretty much be under the ignition barrel and a little to the right, yeah?).

Every other option on the car works perfect in

Sam, if there is no switch then they are not factory spots and yes the switch should be where you guessed. Run your finger under the lip of the dash there and you will feel the indented area that needs to be cut out to fit it.
Factory spotties are Hella

thanjs again. the spotties are hella but do not have a metal stainless body (the lights and mounts appear to be the same age as the car). is there a possibility that by the final runout of the XB models (which this car is) the hella lights no longer had a

The cutout is there Sam. Just to the right of the ignition.
it's about the size of the end of a match box and maybe 1/2 an inch up inside the lip. To put the factory switch in a rectangular hole has to be cut into the dash so Ford put an indent there t

Hi paul. the lights do hang off big solid steel brackets (no way they are aftermarket). and the grille definetly has rings that go around the spotties (plastic with the chrome front strip). the car has more options than you could poke a stick at. the situ

I think that might be a good idea. Let us know what he says. Does your car have the other GS options at all. As in dash, bonnet etc?

Sam, put a couple of pics of your car in the finished ride section if you get a chance. I'd love to see her. If you want to put a genuine driving light switch in your car, let me know and I will put you onto someone. Sounds like too nice a car to go pu
