G'day all, I have an HJ dash in the tonner and I bought another one on Ebay last year, but only got around to putting it in last week when my fuel gauge was playing up, and noticed that the new one had little blue inserts that make the instrument lighting look blue, the old one didnt have them, and I dont think I like them blue, I am just curious as to whether they are an original factory thing or an aftermarket thing? I have never noticed blue lighting in an HJ dash before, but then again I wasnt looking for it. I think I will take them out because they make the instrument lighting too dim for my old eyes to read the odometer, so this post is mainly just to satisfy my curiosity as to the origin or purpose of these things.Cheers. Russ.

Hi Russ, Almost all the Holden dashes that I have pulled out/apart have had the blue plastic covers in the globe holes. When I came across the odd one that didn't have them , I assumed they had got brittle and fallen out. AFAIK, they were standard f Edited by user Saturday, 27 May 2006 12:05:07 PM(UTC)
