Hi. I’m Steve and I’m desperately in need of some help. I have a 1986 Ford Bronco that had a Windsor EFI V8 and a C6 transmission in it but it dropped a con-rod and destroyed the bottom end of the engine. I was lucky enough to find a cheap replacement engine being a Triton 5.4lt SOHC engine complete with the 4 speed transmission with overdrive and both computers and the wiring loom. It’s not going to be an easy change over as the Triton engine is much bigger than the Windsor but before I can even try to install the new engine and transmission I need to know if it’s possible to wirer the it to run in the 86 Bronco body. Could you please help with whatever information you have and if possible supply a copy of the wiring diagrams for the 86 Bronco and the 2004 Ford F250 which is what I was told the Triton engine was fitted too. Any help you can offer or anyone you can point me to for help would be appreciated. Thank you Steve E-Mail address: [email protected]

Someone who does this type of conversion regularly would be able to tell you the pitfalls. It can be done if it will physically fit. First try this mob http://www.castleauto.com.au/ with the exchange rate they should be cost effective for you. |
