Also - there are many variables in a quad. Remember there are 2 basic types. You have main jet, primary rods (2 types), secondary rods, power piston spring length and tensions, then secondary valve settings - just for starters.

Old post i know. I paid a visit to my local parts guy to buy new quadrajet primary jets for my 253. The guy wouldnt sell me the jets unless i got some new primary rods as well. We wanted about $35 for the pair of jets and $30 each for the primary rods.
