G'day guys - hoping wiser heads than mine can help me out here.

I've got an HX ute that is primarily used for city driving, but tows bikes and gear on the weekends. I've got the poverty spec 202-trimatic combo in there at the moment, and am considering an engine swap. I've got access to an RB30 complete, but was wondering what is involved in converting the engine to gas? Is it simply a case of using my existing 202 system and finding a gas mixer that will fit over the new throttle?

Also, how does the engine compare to the Holden V6 (economy/drivability, etc)

RB30's have 4-speeds behind them too!
But I agree on the V6. Plus if you get the right Memcal (out of a VP) it can control your LPG too.

Just a mixer,a couple of lines and your pretty much there I reckon.. I've got a mixer and the gas inlet for the air intake... I've also got the steel intake pipe(air box to plenum) but it's from my Twin cam RB30 conversion so I'm not sure if that will be

Before you start looking at the normal gas setups do a search for "liquid injection systems"
"Development of liquid fuel injection systems for LPG engines should provide better performance and efficiency. Besides this liquid fuel injection provides bette

Spud

Having an RB30 on your list of possibilities and wanting to use as much of your existing gas system as possible suggest to me you don’t mind using a engine from another make and you are trying to keep costs down as much as possible. If that is th

Thanks fellah. Some things to think about there. You're right brian; I don't give a s*#t where it's from, as long as it suits my needs.
