i got a newly rebuilt 351c with 4 bolt mains to put in my xd esp. the block is newly cast and unstamped from america.
Q1- obviously i want to stamp the same no thats on the chasis, but where can i find out if the original block is still in existance (ie in a functioning roadworthy vehicle)

The only way to find out is through the transport department...
don't get caught stamping your block if the original one has been listed at the transport dept for a engine replacement...
