Well guys,
Just got my Prem how I wanted, running sweet and all, been in Vic drooling over the sweet cars at the Hd HR nats, come home, a week later polish up the old girl and take her out for a drive only to be rear ended by a bloody un-licenced driver.
Looks like the old girl might have had her day and I suppose the idiot that hit me will get off with a slap on the wrist.

Life's fine isn't it !

Hmm - sad one !!! I hate that. All that work. I love seeing older cars on the road. Heaps cheaper than a new car..except for fuel.

Can we get implants for such idiots ? You know ones that are attached to their scrotum and contract every time they go ne

Siggs, I admire you.

Not many people in your situation would be capable of restraining themselves & putting together a sensible, legible, & non-offensive post.

You have just been through my worst fear. My Brock resto project is only at the early st

Not a bad idea John, the only implant I had thought of involved lead and a jail term for yours truly!

Thanks Mick, Just stressing now, waiting for the insurance gods to tell me if the old girl's dead or not... Hope the Brock turns out well and stays st

I know just how you feel....

I had an unlicensed, unregoe's, uninsured, MORON rear end me in my old VH Wagon. I was stopped at the lights and he didn't even brake. Luckily all I got was a sore tricep when my arm on the window sill snapped off the pull

That's part of the problem, even if she isn't a write off it's still going to cost me, if she is I am going to have to find another Hr Prem thats not a rusted out piece of $^%#@ and then get to work swapping all of my gear into it and getting it right

I got rear ended in my HQ GTS a while back. Nothing too bad. Pushed the bumper in a bit and a slight crease in one rear quarter. I didn't follow it up as the car will get a full rebuild eventually anyway.

The thing that annoyed me the most was that

Munro you can get her insurance company to pay out so you do't have to make a cliam on yours.
Following my rear ender I had to go to the expense of paying a licenced valuer to value my car, but the other guy's insurance eventually came to the party, I ha

Yes that's true John, but I decided against it as it's more hassle than it's worth.

I would have to take the car to be assessed or get quotes. Then I have to let some crash shop have it in their workshop for a week or so and I am very particular wher

I agree totally with Byron. The shell that you cut up for parts to fix your wouldn't have to be an original Prem & your car would still be an original Prem that way. Just Parts Magazine usually has a few HR's from inland in it.

So this no brainer i
