F*&king Vicroads - transfer from department to department and nothing!

I've got to re-reg the ute, and wanted to run it on straight gas. At present, it's dual fuel.

If I get rid of the tank, the lines, and make up a plate to cover the fuel pump drive, will that be sufficient? Do i have to change over to a gas carb as well, or can I just use the existing carb (no way to get petrol into it with no pump and lines remember...) as my trhottle body?

Thanks guys. Oh yeah, i'm in Victoria.

The only thing I could suggest you do is contact a auto gas fitter in vic and ask them they would have to know the rules and regs on the subject, then it would most likly have to be checked by a rego inspector and passed to have the details changed from d

I'm missing a few bits and pieces of the pollution gear, and the car needs to be re-inspected.

It would be advisable to find a gasfitter that does rego inspections..they will always pass their own work.

You can do away with the evaporative emissions gear (charcoal canister)but you would have to check on the rest.

I dont know what Vic roads are like but a mate of mine tried to remove his gas system and go back to straight fuel here in NSW and boy did they chuck a wobbler over that! The sad thing was it was an after market unit that had expired and the closest inspe
