Went to a customers house for a quote yesterday, and had to drive down a really steep battleaxe driveway to a waterfront house, and when I got in the ute to drive out again, it decided to blow a transmission cooler hose, and spill the contents of the transmission all over her nice paved driveway! NOT HAPPY JAN!!! luckily, there was a pile of sand nearby which I quickly threw on it, and proceeded to call the NRMA, then it turned out the sand belonged to her neighbour who hates her , and he came out screaming and ranting and raving about me pinching his sand. After I explained the urgency of the situation and told him I would buy him about half a ton more sand than what I used, as compensation he calmed down a bit, but now in one hit I have got myself off side with not only a potential customer, but her next door neighbour as well! rthen to make matters worse, when the NRMA guy turned up the driveway was too steep for him to drive down because my ute was on the flat at the bottom and he would have had to park on almost a 45 deg slope (not quite 45, but as close as a driveway can get at its steepest part), so everything he needed had to be carried about 50 mtrs by hand down to my car, which thankfully because it was only a simple hose replacement was not that much, a screwdriver and piece of hose was about it, but still he wasnt happy either, sheesh! some days are just a bitch.
Cheers.Russ.

Could be worse - you could own a Ford.

Look on the bright side Byron......if it was a Ford, he could have pushed it into the water & the property owner would have had an instant mooring :-)

On the same topic.......

Had to buy a new battery today for a VS 5L.

Walked into the shop, yep, a # 57 does it according to the catalogue, so off I go with it.

Get home to bolt it in, and there's nothing on the side....

Turns out it was a 57EF
Cheers,

Mick
