I'm guessing the GTS clock is diferent to a HZ kingswood clock but if not, i have a good one.

Why don't you either take your clock to an Instrument repairer and have it fixed or do a search on here for GTS Clock as Mick (Commodorenut) did an excellent guide to fixing them about 12 months back.

Both options will be easier, quicker and

Upon further inspection, the internal housing that supports the clock mechanism ahs all perished - So may have to give up on it

Don't give up yet Leigh. I have heard of people having later model analogue clock internals fitted to the old Holden housings...be worth checking out.
