got a vt series 2. Engine light and low trac light keep flashing on during trips untill i stop and turn car off. Leave it for a while and its all ok. When lights come on steering goes heavy. Took it to holden. $275 dollars later all good till 1 hour after they closed.
Still dont know what the fault is. Holden thought it was abs but im not convinced. Any help apreciated as holden have turned out to be none.

Hi gbu.

You say, the steering goes heavy, is your a Calais (Variatronic steering). if not, I cannot see how any electronic fault could effect your steering.

Your dash light problem sounds to be a faulty ABS control module, but a bill of $275 will no

Hi Guys.

Most of these types of intermittent dash light problems can be traced back to the ABS control module. (Contact me if you want an exchange unit.)

My point in the answer to gbu was that I can't see what a $275 repair was going to achieve, &

have you got to differant sized tyres or wheels at the back or front of the car.
if so change to the same size at one axle eg. 205/65/15 at back 205/60/15 front
have had 4 cars wit dis prob changed tyres to same size and wamo prob gone
then get codes

tyres? electronic problem?
i would have said the ABS too, but that would cost alot more than $275!!
sounds like they just reset it and took it for an hour or so drive.

i have never seen a tyre prob give an electronic fault, except when the rear righ

i have same problem wit my other car a vt acclaim mark1 the trac off light stays on when i start some days and te engine light comes on when i boot it off the line and light up the rears

YOUR WRONG WHEN YOU SAY TYRES WILL NOT FIX IT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS
I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEN AND EVEN THE TINYEST AMOUNT OF DIFFERANCE IN TYRE SIZE CAN AND WILL MAKE A DIFFERANCE!!!!!!

EVEN IF IT IS ONLY 5MM IT CAN CAUSE TRAC LIGHT
