Found this on the big pond V8 page. Rotten thing to hear.

It was sad to have learned that Mark Porter passed away shortly after today’s Bathurst race.
Our greatest sympathies and all of our wishes are with the family, in particular Mark’s wife Adrienne and son Flynn.
As a group we will do absolutely everything we can to support them at this time.
Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family of David Clark who continues to show positive signs at Nepean Hospital.
We ask that all members of the media respect the privacy of the family and do not contact them at this time.
We will not be making any further comment at this time.
