Does anyone know if these are chrome or anodised? Also anybody have a paint colour for the red insert please?

They are aluminium so they are not chromed.
The best match I have is Tamiya hobby paint X27 clear red. You can get this from most toy stores.

Thanks Warren. Tail-lights are alloy as well but chromed. Mold does look anodized though...

I got my strip and cleaned it up before using the red as suggested.Because it is aluminium I gave it a couple of coats of clear to retain the shine and protect the paint lines.Rare Spares have just released the clip moulding kit for that strip.

I didn't realise there were clips holding it on.
Mine has quite a few lugs with nuts on the inside of the boot lid, although I have undone the nuts and the damn thing still wont budge. Now I know why.

nah they are just the lugs and 2 philips screws each end, probably just crap holdin it on
