I have just fitted HQ dics and P7120 master cyl to my LJ.

I have hooked up the 9/16 port on the m/cyl to the rear circut.

However now I get 1-5 stops and then the brakes start to grab and each stop thereafter their grab increases. Also the pedal goes very hard.

If I release the pressure on the 1/2' front circut the problem goes away for another 1-5 stops.

I have checked for the residual pressure valve in the front circut but there is none.

The only other thing I can see that stands out is that there is a circlip on the firewall side of the master cyl pistion.

Does this need to be removed before using the master cyl? ?? ('im thinking that this is keeping the piston from fully returning to its netural postion)

Any help would be great !

Sounds like preload issue
Leave the circlip in place..... it holds the piston in

Have you checked the caliper cylinders for ridges or rust spots? They could be causing the pistons to ratchet up and not return properly. Go for a drive use the brakes hard and stop and check to see whether both rotors or calipers get equally hot or if on

good ay LJ
i think you have a clearance problem (between the boosters push rod & the master cylinder piston).
try this (IN A SAFE ENVIROMENT & LEVEL GROUND)get the brake to drag.
then instead of opening the hydrolic line, loosen the master cylinders
