Hi all.
Probably a question for Byron this one, but I have an original sandman, still with its stripes etc, albeit a bit shabby, but ready to go under the knife.. On the doors, are the remains of the (original?) mirrors, but they are broken off. The stems are black plastic. Now I though the sandmans originally had GTS mirrors..? Just wondering what the deal is.. Cheers.

They did, well at least the later examples. What you have is probably the remains of aftermarket mirrors. Rare's sell repro GTS mirrors. |

HQ-J had HQ style mirrors, HX-HZ had the later type

What model van? hx- gts mirrors are paited black. hz- gts painted same as car colour
