Yet if it only left one day it starts easily. Replacements new plugs,8mm plug leads, dist cap, rotor, coil, mechanical fuel pump, vacuum lines all replaced, check valve inserted in fuel line to prevent drainback, battery on 1240, using high current 230 amp battery cables,Stromy carby rebuilt with adjustable main jet. Meet a guy with a 1927 Chevy that does not start it for months that has put an extra fuel pump (electric) in the line but only switches it on for a couple of minutes before attempting to start the motor then switches it off(this primes the carby) and says that his Chevy starts immediately. He explains that carbys are vented and that the "new" fuel evaporates quickly. If you have installed an electric fuel pump(for starting) to assist the standard pump I would like to learn your results

Thanks: 1 times
or you could just throw a thimble full of fuel down the carby. The new fuel also goes stale much quicker than the old leaded fuels. all in all it aint that crash hot.
