Guys. Just purchased a set of Pedders lowered springs for the HT. When enquiring about the ride hight of the springs when fitted to the car I was told the hight would be 510mm from the bottom of the rim to the lip of the guard. I measured this and thought yep that’s the go. Well I put in the springs and its 570mm WTF. Bounced the car, made sure the spring was seated and even moved it up and down the drive way. Called Pedders and the guy said you will have to drive the car to settle the springs in. I also checked the part number supplied and was told they have given me the correct springs. I said 60mm is a lot to drop and I cant see it happening. The car has a motor etc fitted. Only things not in the car is Interior and glass. I could see 10mm maybe but not 60mm. Am I been led down the garden path on this one or what. Cheers If you want to fight a war you’ve got to have technology. Technology costs money, and money we don’t got. I fitted the springs to my HG V8 Panno parts car and guess what.

I gave pedders a HZ ute and ask them to bring the front down to meet the wheel arch with the top of the tyre and set the back to make the ute sit level, this meant resetting the leaf springs. When I picked the ute up the front wheel arch was just above th

I went to Pedders and asked for a set of springs for my HQ and I told him I wanted it to sit illegaly low. I bought a set of Pedder SportsRyder 2062 and a set of 2060 and it sits sweet now. The rear springs can slip out if you jack the car up by the bod

If your springs can fall out. It sounds like you did not get the shockies changed to suit your lowered springs. There seems to be more and more cars out there with only 1/2 the job being done when they are lowered. If the spring will fall out when the body

A mate of mine scored a free set of spring compressors out of Pedders.
He went to pick up his car after having it lowered, and the front corner was a lot lower than the other 3, and he complained. He got the usual "she'll settle" comment.

Theres no such thing as shorter shocks, thats what Pedders told me. The HQ racing shocks are 10mm shorter so I bought a set of them. If you can find me a set of shocks for a HQ that are 50mm shorter than standard . . . well you just wont.

To find shockies that are 50mm shorter than stock. You would have to search for shockies with the required dimensions not by asking for lowered shockies for a HQ.
