Hey people i'm having a problem with the dimmer switch on the young fellas torana. I replace one last week as it wasnt working and put a good one in and this week its done the same thing. The lights dont work unless you push the dimmer switch in and hold it in and it doesnt click anymore . Would this just be bad luck on the new switch failing or wold there be an electrical problem ? I had changed the lights about 4 months ago the halogen ones , would this cause a problem? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Dave

Sounds like a faulty switch. Are you using 60w globes or 100w globes

If you are running higher then 60 watt globes, run the headlights through 2 relays (1 for high beam and one for low beam) and use the dip switch to trigger the relays.
The high current draw of high wattage headlights WILL cause your dip switch to die.
