Hi Byron.

I'm pretty sure all 50 US states have reciprocal agreements with our 6 states. By that I mean that we are allowed to drive there & they are allowed to drive here. I've been to California & New York states & our NSW license was OK there. Best
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

JBM.. thats funny...Byron. you can drive on your NSW licence for 12 months in the U.S and Canada. If longer you will have to do their driving test and get a licence.thats only for cars. i lived in Florida for 3 years driving interstate semis over there an

A friend of mine is working as a Doctor in Canada ATM. He only had 1 month to get a Canadian Driver's Licence and has to start again with L and P Plates. He's not happy at all!

Jvanner is right. Im goin to usa early next year and was told you can drive on australian licence for one year.

If the country that you are visiting drives on the same side of the road as Australia I think a universal diriving licience should be ok but if you are going to be driving on the other side of the road to Australia I think the law should be that you obtai

100% agree with what you're saying, but it is a bit impractical for a 1 or 2 week visit . Maybe a 1 month limit should apply.

On the subject of inept driving standards locally, I think many people are simply born without the driving 'gene'

I was in Hawaii in July and all I needed was my QLD drivers license to hire a car.

Byron. When you get there. If you havent seen left hand drive stuff before it going to fell really strange at first. i was picked up when i moved to Florida. I got dizzy looking at the dash on the way to my apartment.Always need to tell yourself... right
