Maybe someone can help me,
yesterday i took my car to dynomatics in bayswater to get the holley tuned and get the peak power out put at the rear wheels. To my surprise the car only pulled 88.5Rwkw.
I have spent a considerable amount of money on time on the engine and driveline to only produce 2.5 Rwkw more than a stock Vk commodore.
The engine and Drive Line are listed as follows:
- Blue 202 block
- ACL Race Series Pistons
- Starfire Four Rods
- Chev Anit-Pump up lifters
- EFI 12 port Head with major head work
- 9.1:1 Compression Ratio
- Wade 242a cam
- Schorcer Ignition System matched to a crane HI-6 MDS
- Holly 350 tuned and jetted to the motor
- 2000Rpm Stall converter
- Shift Kitted Trimatic gearbox
- Borg Warner 10 bolt 3.55:1 diff
- 18inch VY SS rims

Dynomatics reckon i can raise Rwkw by increasing the compression ratio?
But i think it could possible be the 2000RPM stall converter not effeciently converting the touque of the motor, maybe it is to tall?

Very hard to tell. But a few places to look:

350 Holley, combined with worked head and cam - easy way to lose hp, and more importantly torque. Normally a 12 port head with 'major' work and a cam like that is best suited to triple Webers. You would prob

Nick are you sure that you have only gained 2.5Kw? It sounds like your RWHP is about 2.5kw more than a stock 202's flywheel output which in reality means you have boosted your flywheel output by about 50%.

After a good tune an EB-ED falcon 4.0 with

Hi Guys.

Jim 5.0 is on the money, the flywheel output of an 202 VK carby motor is 88 kW. Depending on which dyno you use this would probably equate to around 55 RWkW, so your increase is about 50%.

More attention to carby jetting, cam set-up & ignti

Hi Guys.

Correction, the stock VK figure is 86 kW, not 88.
