Hi all, I'm new to site so sorry if I have placed this in the wrong place.
I have been trying to learn more about engine re-building. I have bought all the books, and now I'm hoping to find an old worn, V8 engine to have a play around on.
SO this brings me to the hunt for a cheap old V8 that I can pull down and have a play with and hopefully if it's good enough keep for one day to re-build. I'm hoping that I'd come across an old stock worn out V8. I was thinking an old 253 would be good as they tend to be a few around and some very cheap but I dont mind what style as I would be really thankful for any old V8 that's cheap enough just to play around on. Yes I have looked on ebay, but there are not many in QLD.
I'm located around the south east QLD, so if you know of any or hear of any old engines that are ready for the dump or in an old rattler ready to be sent to the wreckers, please keep me in mind.

that's the way mate i did the same thing with my 253 that i bought off ebay 100 dollars. It's the only way to learn!
