Hello all , i have recently had a mid life crisis and want to have the above again , they have gone up a bit since my day!!.
Any way could some one give me a guide as to what this car is worth as i have found one localy.
Discription as bove in this condition.
Genuine 186S GTS-
car is bare - plates match descriptiopn = # match. most rust cut out in the normal places but need finishing before priming.
All required original parts , heaters , seats door trims steering wheel cracked , muncie box , 9 " shortened.all panels are straight , needs minor body work before painting , front guards bonnet scoops and guard flukes are all straight. all chrome strips and other bits are there - original hub caps , dash etc, factory manual consoul .
Under car is clean and you can see work has been carried out on new bushes and front end.
Your help would be appreciated.

I can only go by the prices I see them selling for on ebay but at a minimum you would be looking at $5000.
If you can pick any HK-HG Monaro up for less than $5000 then you have found a bargain for sure.

Thanks for your input , i would have thought that a GTS would be worth more than that , Not sure?

Yes a GTS would be worth more, but this sounds like it is modified, and therefore startign spec is irelevent.

Like munromad says thats the minimum starting price is around 5 , you seem dissapointed that you might get one that cheap? is this your car that you want to sell ?
For this car to reach its full potential value get rid of the 9 inch and put the standard

This is the genuine item apart from the diff, there are no other mods . No this is not my car but one i have an opportunity to buy , i would restor her back factory.just need an idea on what to pay . $5k sounds cheap because just trying to find one is ne

Hi guys,
My estimation of a minimum starting price of $5000 was based on him stating that the car is bare.
While I'm not exactly sure what that means, I took it to mean the car had been completely pulled apart and was also missing the engine.

This HG GTS is back to metal and primer , needs some spots finished where rust ahs been cut out and plated, it has realy tidy 350and all engine parts , new clutch etc.The muncie is completely recondand not been put in car since , all the chrome strips gri

I didn't realise it had a 350 Chev in it. That combined with a fully reconditioned Muncie and a 9 inch diff in a genuine GTS is going to be worth $12,000 any day of the week.
Spend a couple of grand putting it all back together and you have something
