I have a idle problem with this engine. I have removed and cleaner throttle body, checked both the cruise control and throttle cables, tried another idle speed control motor and there are no vacuum leaks anywhere.
After you have driven the car for a while and you are slowing down to a stop the idle will stay at around 1300 to 1600 for about 7 to 10 seconds then return to idle. When this happens the idle step motor is at 120 - 130 steps then slowly return to idle position which is around 60 steps.
What could be effecting the idle control motor to hold it up so high.
It has just started to do this, no dramas with it before and it has about 50 000 klm on it.
HELP!

Hmmm, no codes. I'd think it is mechanical then.

My advice WOULD have been to do what you have done, so that's no good.

Probably have a search of www.ls1.com.au to see if the answer is there.

Cheers...Dave
