I'm having some problems with the trimatic fitted to my HD.
It seems to labour in and out of 3rd ie stretch the change and when it does this it feels and sounds as if it is slipping. It only tends to do this after about 30min into a trip. I have fitted a seperate cooler and that has helped a little but has not solved the broblem. It should be mentioned that this box has recently been rebuilt.
Also Do the trimatics need the kick down swich fitted???? |

It will work ok with out the kickdown.I would take the car back to were the box was overhauled and see what they have to say about it, before you damage the third gear clutch pack.
