Just wondering what the go with these are i had one long story short Car smashed into me only had it for 2 weeks just want to no what was so good about them "SERIES 200"

They were based on a Berlina.
600 were made.
Special 2 tone paint scheme - gold over beige.
VL Calais trim material & front headrests on the Berlina seats.
Full power options.
Special badging.

All were 3.0L Auto.

Thanx Mick you hit the nail on the head you described it better than i could but when i got mine it had a yellow paint job with green pearl through it. I've never seen one 4 sale be4 so are they worth much???????????

These days they're really only worth what a 3L/Auto Berlina is worth - which sadly isn't much!

I've seen a fair few around - I can rattle off the (work) locations of at least 3 that I see on a regular basis. They do pop up for sale occasionally, but n

I was working at GMH on the final line when the 200 was made , I drove most of them on our shift internaly and even have some nos badges.the advertising slogan was `what do you give australia for its 200th birthday`.

I'm guessing the other 600 were all V8 - all white (incl bumpers), and the trim was the same as the insert on a berlina, but stitched like the SL?
If so, it's the 1988 "opera house" LE - they got numbered glovebox plaques too.

I cant remember what running gear they had it could have been a mixture,I also did about half the electrical inspections on the SV88`s, they had a dummy seat and black rims ,all the good gear went on at HSV.
