is there any difference between engine enamel & normal enamel spoke to auto paint place they say there not much difference but have my doupts as they didnt have the colour i wanted in engine enamel but said they can mix in normal enamel & its the same if you add a hardner sounds dodgey

I've only ever used 'normal' enamel paint in a can & brushed it on all the motors I've done. Never had it peel, flake or do anything bad.
There were limited colours in engine enamel, and when I asked the paint supplier about more colours, he told me j |

I use Spartan Super Velox enamel on engine blocks no problem. It is an air dry enamel and can be mixed to colour. Haven't had any peel crack or discolour. (darker colours only). Painted up to 10 years ago.
This is better than using '2 pac' car paint on |
