Upon reading one of the recent issues of street machine, i read about a 328 hp 202 n/a. The writers reckon that it would rev harder and more quickly if the crank used was non counterweighted. However, this causes unwanted vibrations, and to rectify this, the right balancer has to be fitted. This is still being developed.
My question is: what is the mathematics behind choosing the right balancer? what rating are there for the red 202, and 186?
Cheers
Alex

I remember reading about the XU-1's at bathurst having to rush through a certain rev range, due to crankshaft vibrations.

I have "he
