My mate rang Vic Roads and was told it is a 350 HG Manual Monaro Engine. 350M40792K 11.08.8L But they did not know what the 11.08.8L represents. We know from past replys that it is a Canadian built 350 but did not know what the 8L represents, is there any American or Canadian web sites that you know of that might help?. He has since the last Discussion taken the sump off and it is Standard crank and Standard bore and very clean. But it is a 2 bolt main, were the HT, HG available in both 2 bolt and 4 bolt? He does want to sell this engine but would like to know exactly what he has got before hand. cheers

350M engines are 4 bolt, have not seen 11.08.8L on any genuine engine before.
I say Genuine as the number 40792 is a 307 engine number from around February/March 1968, not a 350 engine sequence number. I would sugest that this engine is not a genuine 3

Also the reason Vic roads would have said it was a manual Monaro engine is because it has 350M on it. Nothing to do with the suffix.
